Witnessing this extraordinary phenomenon found only in a handful of locations worldwide, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will leave you feeling like you’ve stepped into a dream.

Trillions of microscopic dinoflagellates fill the Indian River Lagoon during the warm summer months and turn the water into a captivating light show with every movement you make. With our clear kayaks, you’ll feel like you’re floating on a turquoise cloud gliding you across the water.

We’ll start our journey with a short paddle that leads us to a secluded mangrove forest in the middle of the Indian River Lagoon. As the sun goes down, we’ll watch as the water beneath us turns into a vibrant lightshow of blue bioluminescence. After paddling around the mangrove forest for a while, we’ll find a place to pull over and swim in the glowing water. Don’t worry, the water is shallow!

The dinoflagellates will glow in response to touch and disturbance of the water. Your paddle, a splash, or even a dolphin or manatee swimming by will turn the water to a bright blue. We may even get lucky and witness a SpaceX rocket launch from NASA only a few miles away!

If you’ve ever wanted to feel like you’re an Avatar living in Pandora, or Moana sailing in the glowing waters, this is the tour for you.
